What's the matter with me play?


MNE Play is a multimedia internet service of the Public Service Radio and Television of Montenegro (RTCG) which allows live streaming of television and radio programs, delayed viewing of program content for up to 72 hours (Catch Up), Video on Demand and Audio on Demand services (the possibility of watching TV and radio shows in the categories of Video Library and Listening Room), as well as featured stories from Montenegrin cities within the section "Through Montenegro”.

Additionally, users will have access to streams (live programs) of local public TV broadcasters.

In addition to current content, the editorial team will make a daily selection of archival material and publish it on the platform. MNE Play will be defined through sections or sub-sections, and the posting schedule will be synchronized with the work of Television and Radio of Montenegro. To access the MNE Play service, the user must download the MNE Play application, provide internet access, and ensure that the receiving device is functioning correctly.



Can all the content that is broadcast on the programs of the Radio Television of Montenegro be watched on the MNE Play website?


MNE Play allows you to watch all the content of linear television and radio programs: : TVCG 1, TVCG 2, TVCG 3, TVCG MNE, Radio CG, Radio 98, as well as 4 radio web channels (RCG Classic, RCG Shqip, RCG Millennium, RCG Yug). You can watch non-linear content, meaning media services for listening and watching radio and television programs on demand are also available. Additionally, a preview of all content from the past 72 hours is available through the program guide (by selecting a day, content, and pressing the play icon). Access restrictions to programs are defined by licensing rights, so-called licensed programs can only be followed in territories where licensing rights exist.

 

Who is entitled to free access to the content?


Free access to all facilities is available in the territory of Montenegro. MNE Play users outside the territory of Montenegro and after the start of billing in 2024, can access the TV channel "TVCG MNE" for free, as well as the programs of Radio Montenegro and Radio 98 and content within the "Through Montenegro" category. Please note that when using the MNE Play service, an internet data transfer is carried out. RTCG is not responsible for the cost of data transmission, as it depends primarily on the Internet operator. Namely, every time you play video or audio content, you use internet bandwidth (depending on the quality of the content, the better the quality, the higher the consumption). This all applies to mobile or home networks that have a certain amount of possible internet bandwidth included in their tariff for consumption. As far as FLAT tariffs are concerned, they have an unlimited amount of data transfer included in their payment price (if so agreed with the Internet operator), so in these situations it is not necessary to take into account the Internet traffic performed.

 

How much will I spend in MB for about one hour of watching TV?


The amount of data you can use in one hour of watching a TV program depends on the data transfer speed (the quality of the playback itself). For example, if you are watching some video content in the worst quality (360p), then the consumption for one hour of watching video content is about 300 MB. In the highest quality variant (HD resolution), the value of the consumed Internet transfer can be more than 6.5 GB.

 

On which devices can MNE Play be watched?


MNE Play uses the most advanced HTML5 software language that can be used on the following platforms (devices):
• Personal computers (Windows 10 and later, Mac OS 11 (Big Sur).
• Smartphones and tablets (iOS 12 and later, Android 8 and later)
• Smart TVs


 

Do you need to install a special application on your computer to use this service?

It is not necessary. You are already on that website. You can register to access the content.


What kind of internet connection do I need to have to watch content uninterrupted?


MNE Play uses an advanced adaptive bitrate encoding system to adapt to the current bandwidth of your streaming. In case you have a slower internet connection, the system will automatically adjust the playback quality so that you can browse the content smoothly.


How to register?


You can register by selecting the "Register" option. To register successfully, you need to accept the Terms of Use, enter your password and e-mail address. After that, you will receive a verification e-mail to your e-mail address, which you need to confirm. In this way, you will activate your user account.

 

Is it possible to watch content on all logged in devices at the same time?

Simultaneous playback is possible on all registered devices, subject to the maximum number of registered devices.

 

I've reached the maximum number of devices I can install the app on. How do I unsubscribe a device so I can use a new one?


You can view the registered devices via the web, within your user profile (top, right corner). This option exists only through a web browser (the application does not have this option), and you can log out one device once a month.

 

I can't watch the program live, I only get a "black screen". What's the problem?


It's probably due to an incompatibility with your operating system or browser. Windows XP is no longer supported due to outdated technology, as well as Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. If you have a newer operating system (Windows 10 or later), it is recommended to use Google Chrome as a web browser. Other browsers such as Firefox, Edge or Safari can also be used, however, they need to be updated to the latest versions and install the necessary add-ons (such as Microsoft Silverlight).

 

How do I change my password?


You can set your new password as follows: log in to the service via the web (the application does not have this option), within your user data, under the 'Change data' option.
